Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the people of Andhra Pradesh to consider, when they vote, which party will do good things for them. He said that if his party, YSRCP, remains in power, all the current schemes will continue. But if people vote for Chandrababu Naidu, they will be cheated by Naidu, who will put an end to the schemes. Jagan warned that voting for Naidu is risky, akin to putting your head in a python’s mouth. If Naidu wins, everything is ‘govinda,’ which means ‘gone’ in Telugu. Jagan recalled that Chandrababu’s history itself shows his cheating nature towards people. Jagan made these comments during an election rally in Chodavaram on Monday, April 29th.
Jagan mentioned the promises made by Naidu during the 2014 elections and alleged that not a single scheme mentioned in the manifesto was implemented. He stated that TDP’s manifesto copies were distributed to every household at that time. Jagan pointed out that promises such as ‘Job for every house’, ‘babu for jobs’, ‘allowance for the unemployed’, ‘3 cents of land for the poor’, pucca houses, and many others were not implemented. Jagan alleged that Naidu cheated farmers by not implementing the loan waiver and cheated Dwakra women by not waiving their loans.
Jagan alleged that after being booked in the cash-for-vote case in Telangana, Naidu gave up Andhra Pradesh’s right to the joint capital, Hyderabad. He further criticised the fact that the special status was lost and questioned what happened to the graphics capital. Naidu also promised a hitched city in every district, but where are those cities? Why has Naidu failed to deliver on this promise? Jagan questioned.
Jagan criticised Naidu, stating that Chandrababu Naidu is again trying to cheat people with the ‘Super Six’ manifesto. He said that if people believe Naidu, there will be no rain and no water in reservoirs due to the drought. Jagan criticised Naidu, saying that even though he was the chief minister for three terms, there was not a single scheme that benefited poor people. That’s why he is promising to give more money to the schemes that were already implemented under the current YSRCP’s rule. He alleged that during Naidu’s tenure, he and his batch robbed and distributed the wealth among themselves.
He alleged that Naidu may distribute Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000 for a vote in the state and said that people should take that money and vote for the party that has done good things. He urged people to think before voting about who will do good for them in the future as well.”
