Jagan Confident of Sweeping Elections, Says Swearing-In in Vizag

Published on

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is very confident of winning elections in the state. In an interview with the national media outlet ‘Times Now,’ Jagan Mohan Reddy confidently stated that YSRCP is going to sweep the Lok Sabha and assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh. Jagan also mentioned that he is going to be swearing in this time from Visakhapatnam, which is the executive capital he announced in the past. Jagan mentioned that in the 2019 elections, YSRCP got 49% of the votes, and this time it is expected to exceed that percentage.

Delivered great governance in 5 years: YS Jagan

CM YS Jagan asserted that the YSRCP has delivered exemplary governance and implemented numerous reforms across various sectors. He highlighted several key initiatives, including the conversion of all government schools to English, providing TOEFL classes for children from the third class onwards, transforming classrooms into digital classrooms starting from the sixth class, and supplying tabs to eighth class students. Additionally, he mentioned plans to introduce the IB syllabus in government schools, with the first class slated to commence with the IB curriculum in 2025, aiming to confer International Board degrees to students by 2035. Jagan emphasised the establishment of modernised English-medium schools in every village, along with a revamped curriculum, marking a significant departure from previous educational standards.

At the village level, Jagan outlined the establishment of village secretariats, Rythu Bharosa Centres, and village clinics as part of his reform agenda. He underscored the range of services provided by village secretariats, almost 600 services, which had never happened before in the state. Furthermore, he highlighted the deployment of volunteers to deliver government schemes, services, and certificates directly to households, ensuring efficient access for every household. Jagan pointed out visible transformations across sectors such as education, health, agriculture, and governance, underscoring the administration’s commitment to delivering benefits to the people devoid of corruption.

The TDP and BJP are both insignificant in Andhra.

Regarding the state’s capital, Jagan clearly said there is no confusion of capital, mentioning Vishakapatnam as the executive capital, Kurnool as the judicial capital, and Amaravati as the legislative capital. He announced his intention to take the oath of office in Vishakapatnam following the election victory. Jagan expressed confidence in the YSRCP’s prospects in the upcoming elections, predicting a sweeping victory in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls while diminishing the prospects of the BJP and TDP in Andhra Pradesh. He said both the TDP and the BJP are insignificant in Andhra Pradesh; the BJP may get a single seat. He also said that Congress does not even get a single vote more than NOTA.

Jagan looks so confident of winning with a big majority this time; his confidence is his work, with the manifesto he delivered in the last 5 years. On the other hand, the TDP-BJP-JSP alliance manifesto is getting criticism as they announced just extension promises of Jagan’s manifesto, some of which are impossible to implement. We will see what Andhra Pradesh’s verdict will be on June 4th.
