Vindicating YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s confidence in winning the second consecutive term in 2024, another survey predicted his party’s tsunami in Andhra Pradesh in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

ELECSENSE, an independent pre-election survey agency, in its report released to the media, foresaw Chief Minister YS Jagan retaining power for the second straight time. It predicted that the YSRCP is set to win 122 plus Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh in the 2024 elections.

The latest survey report joins a swarm of other recent findings that assessed the public mood on the ground in the state and projected a clear advantage for the ruling party. According to ELECSENSE, the YSRCP would comfortably win over 122 Assembly constituencies.

In other interesting revelations, the agency found in its survey that YS Jaganmohan Reddy would win the race hands-down on the question of who is the most favoured leader of the public for the chief minister’s throne. Hearteningly, 53.7 percent of the people that the agency spoke to gave their approval for YS Jagan as their chief minister for a second term. Also, 49.14 percent of the public are set to vote in support of the YSRCP, the survey report said.

In another significant finding, a major chunk of those favouring the YSRCP are women (59.3 percent) as compared to 49.6 percent men. This establishes the fact that women have largely been happy with the host of welfare schemes being implemented by the YS Jagan government in Andhra Pradesh and thus are in the forefront of giving their approval rating for the dynamic leader.

Portending bleak prospects for the national parties, the survey report claimed that both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress would not be able to win a single seat. They will have to be content with a vote share of 0.56 and 1.21 percent respectively, the ELECSENSE survey report said.
